Inspired by the longest day of the year. My family and I take a wintery walk and collect twigs, berries, pinecones, and anything else that catches our eyes. We make spiced tea, turn the lights down, light candles , put on some calming jazz, and gather together around the table. We go around in a circle and talk about what we are grateful for, what we are proud of from the last year, and what we are looking forward to the next year. We write it down, draw, and pick a word for the new year.
