Emerging from a winter of deep emotional turmoil to feel more hope and excitement for the future. I painted this in early summer 2023, as I was able to get back to my favorite place on Earth - the beaches of Northern Michigan. 
 
I relished the soft sand, sounds of waves and wind, and the healing waters. I filled my lungs with  the fresh air and gave thanks for being alive.
